KiddiCat schools and community cycle challenge is an opportunity to have fun, achieve through cycling challenges, and learn more about cycling, bicycle safety, and fitness and health. It also an opportunity to learn more about juvenile diabetes and help raise funds for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
KiddiCat Schools Competition is a points based challenge for pupils from primary and secondary schools. Two trophies will be awarded to the primary school and the secondary school that accumulates the most points collected by each pupil through participation in the cycling activities. The activities will run between 10:00am and 3:00pm. At 4pm we will be making the presentations.
KiddiCat Primary School Trophy: Awarded to the primary school that has accumulated the most points from the cycling activities.
KiddiCat School Trophy: Awarded to the secondary school that has accumulated the most points from the cycling activities.
Entry to the KiddiCat multi-lap costs £5.00. This includes electronic timing, food & water station, medal, e-certificate, results on our website, and British Cycling Insurance – fantastic!
All other activities are free and you DO NOT have to ride the KiddiCat to take part though we strongly recommend you try it - it’s your choice!
In addition volunteers from Oakley Pedalers will be available to assist and lead groups of children around the course.

How to get started and score points for your school
- KiddiCat registration: Enter online or enter on the day
- All activities on the day: Register 9:30am onwards to sign on and collect your scorecard.
- 10:00am to 3:00pm: Go for it and get your KiddiCat scoring points!
- When you have finished take your signed scorecard and hand it to Registration Team
- 3:00pm all cycling activities will be closed and the counting begins
- 4:00pm KiddiCat trophies and prizes will be presented.

Finally be inspired by the returning cyclists who have cycled their sportive ride challenge of either 51miles, 81miles, or 127miles – awesome! They were once “KiddiCats” like you and decided to take their cycling to a whole new level. Cycling is a lifetime sporting activity - our oldest participant this year is 75 years young!
