Junior Wiggle Magnificat

Welcome to the Junior Wiggle Magnificat that takes place within the safety, comfort, and superb grounds of Newbury Racecourse. This will be our third year running of this event  which is especially for children 6 years and over to under 16, families and friends.

Once all the cyclists in the main rides depart Newbury Racecourse by 9:30am, The Junior Wiggle Magnificat then gets going!

·         2.5mile multi-lap challenge supporting the Fire Fighters Charity and local Charities

·         0.5mile grass track racing competitions for all age groups sponsored and run by British Cycling

·         Wattbike static time trial competitions sponsored by British Cycling

·         Cycling skill and agility challenges

·         Bike Doctor sessions – get your bike checked

·         Design a cycle jersey competition

·         Over £600 of prizes to give away

Wiggle Magnificat multi-lap challenge:

We call it our adult sportive in a junior package!

The  route combines both tarmac and grass sections with a feed and water station at the halfway point. There is no limit to the number of laps you can ride, and with your bike number and timing chip, we can record how many laps you ride, your start and finish time, and even your best lap!

Route Details

The route is a 2.5mile circuit. The first part is tarmac road next right alongside the white rails of the racecourse, and follows the green turf track for almost 1 mile - all within full view of the grandstands. A gentle curve takes you past the KiddiCat feed and water station and onto the start of a firm grassland track. You will then briefly rejoin the road and then ride along the old road track in between a beautiful lime and beech tree avenue before reaching the start / finish.
