Ken, Barbara and Louisa would like to thank all the riders who took part in the 3rd edition of the UCI registered Highclere Castle Victor Ludorum Sportive last Sunday.

It was a great day for both riders and the volunteer support teams in probably the first real day of summer we have had this year. It was a day of few minor incidents. Those that did occur were due primarily to the adverse weather in the preceding week washing gravel into the road – thank you all for riding in a safe and responsible manner.

So far Charity funds raised from the event are over £2000. The Charity of choice is the Firefighters Charity, with smaller amounts going to other charities as part of the volunteer’s thank-you scheme we run.

The Official Results are now published so please download your e-certificate as a memento of your success on the day.

On behalf of all the marshal support teams we thank you for making Sunday a special day , and we look forward to seeing you all again at Highclere Castle in June 2009.

In 2008 we continue to build on our Highclere Castle Victor Ludorum Sportive success. In June, we will have new improved anti-clockwise routes for experienced and leisure cyclists with excellent control facilities.
